Half Marathon and New Neighbors

We had a fun weekend celebrating our new neighbors in Butte Meadows!  Luke, Erin, Clay, Ryan and Leilani!  SO fun!  They had us all over for a pizza party with their new pizza oven!  Olivia took her first steps that night!

Saturday morning Erin, Amanda and I got up early and drove up to Susanville for the Bizz Johnson 1/2 Marathon!  It was a beautiful trail and we had so much fun!  Eric and Luke were in charge of the kids for some of the morning before my mom and dad made it up to Butte Meadows and the kids loved it!

Here are some pics from our fun weekend!

30 degrees at the start of the race in Susanville!

After the race pictures!  Ali, Amanda, Erin and I!

The first of many runs together!  These girls are inspiring!

And now, dinnertime!

So many toppings, so much fun!

Anna got to go first!

Fall 2019

We have had a fun fall!  Coltan, Joey's brother, has been living with us the past month and helping us SO much with our yard.  It has been insane how much work he is doing.  We get stopped by people in town all the time saying--WOW you guys are doing a lot with your yard.  It is super hard to even tell in pictures just how much they are doing, but they are working hard and the end product will be Schad-Style-Amazing I'm sure!

Soccer season and Abby wishes she could play!  She put Owen's jersy and one soccer shoe on and she is ready to go.  She gets ready for all their practices.  It is so cute!

Joey and I actually got away for the first time in months for a mountain bike ride.  The trails are literally right outside our door now--and so awesome!

Monument peak!

Maya goes with us to drop the kids off at school.  Shag dog.

Caramel apples--with wraps this time since last year was a total fail!

YUM--the taste of fall right there!

These two LOVE LOVE LOVE the bath!

Olivia tries to walk and Abby holds onto her, and then when Olivia starts to fall it ends up like this.  They are so cute!

Coltan's new road--part of it.  They are loving all the DIRT!

All day long.  So sweet!

Knocking the pump house down!

New water main so we don't have a pump house blocking our view.  Coltan dug that in about an hour!  It was amazing.

Lots of work!

Fun at Grandma and Grandpa's a few weekends ago!

My friend Michelle and I have been running with the strollers at least once a week.  So nice to have a friend to keep you accountable!  And no excuse when she is pushing a stroller too!

Library time!

Levi loves to get to go on the computer at the library!

Joey did the Grindurito--a shorter version of a huge bike race in town.  His shorter version was 35 miles of mountain biking with over 4000 feet of elevation gain!  So insane!  It also snowed and hailed on him while he was doing it.  Proud of him for completing it!

Coltan and Joey hard at work creating more of a view for us by taking out this HUGE tree!

My little angel.  :)

Abby taking pictures "of Coltan doing work" since she sees me doing it so often these days!  ha!

I've committed to doing the rosary every day this month since it is the month of the Rosary.  Olivia and Abby just like to walk around with rosaries in their hands!

Gardening with the Adrians

We have a fun couple that we connected with very early on in moving to Quincy.  We have kept a friendship with them through the years but this summer we really connected when we moved into a house that they had lived in several times.  So they have enjoyed watching the progress as we work on it.  And also we have enjoyed going to their garden for veggies and berries!  So fun!

Garden goals!

Shoveling carrots and sneaking berries!

Carrots!

More carrots!  And isn't it cute how she ties a berry bucket around their waist so they can pick with both hands?

Abby made a friend in Nancy!

Abby (with some help) picked the most berries!  They were gone that same day.  We barely even made it home with any--they were so good!!

Liv made a friend too.  :)

Two friends!
