Biking, Hiking and More...:)

Last weekend I went up to Butte Meadows with the kids and Joey had a mountain biking weekend with friends from Redding.  Saturday they biked up Mt. Elwell in Graeagle.  The following day they started on the top of Mt. Hough in Quincy and did another full day of biking.  Sounded like a fun (but tiring!) weekend for them!

Meanwhile, in Butte Meadows, Abby we had a usual weekend of fun and play.  Tennis, creek and hanging out.

The Thursday before that weekend we went on a hike with our friends who have two girls Owen and Levi's ages.  The kids did GREAT hiking up 1.5 miles.  And it was UP 1.5 miles.  I was tired myself!  The lake we went to was gorgeous and the kids all kept great attitudes the whole time.  They got rewarded with a frosty afterwards.  :)

Most of them are walking at this point...

Beautiful views!

The Lost Sierra

This is above Quincy--looking down into Indian Valley.  The guys went swimming in this lake.  Supposedly this lake is connected underground to Tahoe...not really believing that but that is the rumor.

More walking their bikes...looks like a hard ride to me!

The hikers!

If Ashley wasn't carrying one of her kids she was carrying one of our backpacks because we were carrying one of our kids.  :)

Waterfall on the way

Such a pretty trail!

On the search for water snails...

Beautiful fishing spot!

Abby was a trooper!  Happy baby = Happy Hikers!

Joey took all the kids out on the fishing tube

Isn't this a pretty lake?

Abby loving the water too!

Family photo!

Group shot!

Hiking break for these two

Speaking of taking a break...this girl slept the whole way back.  So nice for everyone!

Will Hike For Ice Cream

I'm six months old now!

Silence is NEVER golden when a three year old is involved.

He doesn't look as guilty but it is only because his pen was orange and harder to see...

Superheros play tennis too.

He said the costume would help him hit it harder.

Current stage: feed her peas, she spits them out.  Doesn't she look thrilled to be starting solids??  We all are about that excited about it.  :/

We've been going to the "jumps" behind our house almost every day

They love going down the jump and doing the track around this open field.

Abby hanging out with Rick at the Farmers Market

Rick is the pharmacist who helped me out so much when I was working at the hospital.  I'm so thankful to have him in town!  I thin Abby likes his tiger shirt!  :)
