Cabin in August

We keep plugging away at the cabin!  Every time we go it gets a little more done!  It is so exciting!

Shed is going up!

The half log detail on those stairs!  And the thick stairs themselves are so cool.  I really do love that mill!

It took all summer to get them there--but the door guys have finally arrived!

Getting the door in means our cabin is finally able to be locked and closed!  It feels good!

Sheet rock is taped!

More of the door guys--we were so excited to get them there!

Joey took on the task of texturing the whole place!  Lots of work!  He says his hands still hurt from it.  :)

One of our best day laborers!

Pre-texture.  Lots of work ahead!

We had to do a couple dump runs when we were up there--so much trash accumulates when you are building!  The kids helped load the truck.

That ceiling!

The last two days we were up there there were six different cars and I don't know how many workers--it was really exciting!

Joey working with one of the guys to get the landscape sprinklers ready.

Tile going in the shower!!

The living space is textured and primed.  My mom got up at 6 am one morning, after cleaning and priming the day before as well, and surprised us with a couple more hours getting the priming done.

We love this fan we found--blends right in.

It is so hard making decisions on finishes!  We went to lowes with all four kids and picked this wood looking tile and stone shower bottom and LOVE how it turned out!

Fun to see how little the kids and Olivia are the summer before we get to be in our cabin!

When Olivia turned two weeks old I felt good enough to do a little painting myself.  It was SO fun to do a little work and feel like I am doing more than breastfeeding all day.  :)

My working side kick.

My other working side kick.  :)
